Who We Are

Meet Mill Creek Gardens

We (Erik & Danielle) love all things natural and believe that flowers have purpose in our lives -promoting health, beauty, and sharing love with one another.  We know that flowers make people happy and we are dedicated to offering an experience where anyone can find joy in the simple beauty of nature.  Whether we are in the greenhouse, in the growing field, or on vacation, we are always searching for new ways to share the beauties of nature with our customers.

A little more about Erik…

Erik went to Milwaukee School of Engineering for electrical engineering & also earned a German bachelors degree while studying in Germany for one year. Erik has spend many hours on the river in Milwaukee rowing proudly for his alma mater.  He has a passion for renewable energy & conservation.  He even convinced Danielle to buy a composting toilet for their home.

A little more about Danielle…

Danielle also went to college in Milwaukee & played volleyball for the Marquette women’s volleyball team.  Shortly after graduating, she played professionally in Sweden.  Danielle has also spent time teaching in Milwaukee and coaching college volleyball at the University of Iowa.  Whatever Danielle does, she does it with passion and energy.  And she loves getting over 12,000 steps in the greenhouse every day!

our parents

Bruce & Sherri

Bruce and Sherri, parents to Erik, have been instrumental in the growing operation since the start.  Sherri is the planter combination queen and leads many of our interactive workshops.  She has a real eye for arranging flowers and isn’t afraid to plant flowers in anything! Bruce is a jack-of-all-trades and is instrumental in every new project and event at the greenhouse.  He does have time for fun, though!  If Bruce isn’t with his puppies, you’ll likely find him watering plants or tooling around in his vegetable garden.

We Value Family

Your kids are ALWAYS welcome at our greenhouse!  We’ve got a piggy scavenger hunt for them when they visit and also a dedicated area just for children.  We believe that the greenhouse should be an engaging, joy-filled place even for the youngest of guests.
