At this workshop, you will learn the therapeutic technique of making a hand-tied evergreen wreath. We will guide you through the step-by-step process & will offer unique design ideas! You will also have the opportunity to learn how to tie a puffy bow for your wreath.

The cost of this workshop includes wreath frame, mixed boughs (balsam, fraser fir, white pine, & cedar), pine cones, & berries. Additional materials including puffy bows, large pinecones, eucalyptus will be available for purchase. Warm drinks will be offered to you as you work! This is by far our most popular holiday workshop! Freshen up your porch pots and welcome your guests with a festive evergreen arrangement!

Drop-in and learn how to make a stunning winter arrangement for your home! You are welcome to bring your own container (whiskey barrel, galvanized bin, plastic pot, etc.) or purchase a unique container from us. The materials included in the cost of this workshop (regardless of container size) are: balsam, fraser, white pine, and cedar boughs, red dogwood, 2 pine cone sticks, & red berries.

Additional items available for purchase include small cut trees for medium & large containers, ribbon for bows, burlap, berry sticks, curly willow, hydrangea blooms, & birch branches. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to make a snazzy bow! This arrangement can be enjoyed all winter long – not just for Christmas!

Is your pot too heavy to bring to our greenhouse? Stop in and grab a to-go kit of greens! We will walk you through the process so you’ll feel comfortable when arranging at home!

RSVP’ing or purchasing a ticket prior to attending is not necessary, simply drop-in during market hours!

We love huge pinecones & succulents! So, why not combine them to make a unique living ornament! Enjoy it on your tree, or hang it in your window. These are perfect gifts for friends, family, or even your child’s teacher!

The cost of this workshop includes 1 pine cone, moss to plant your succulents in, & living succulent cuttings. We will work with you while you create and will discuss how to care for your succulent pine cone! The cost of this workshop will be due the day of the workshop.

WHY WE LOVE THIS PROJECT: When the holidays have passed, you will learn how to remove the succulents from your pine cone and in turn, plant a new succulent garden! Not only will you have an adorable & unique ornament for your tree, BUT you will also gain a new succulent garden!

Drop-in during business hours and create a stunning fall arrangement! At this workshop, Mill Creek Gardens staff will guide you as you pick out fall plants to fill your container with mums, ornamental peppers, kale, grass, & ivy.

The cost of this workshop includes potting soil, a discount on purchased plants (exclusively for workshop participants), & expert instruction on plant care.

Are you looking to fill your wire hampers or whiskey barrel again this fall?! Show us a picture of your wire hampers or whiskey barrels (purchased from Mill Creek Gardens) and we will offer you a discount on purchased mums as well! Feel free to bring your hamper or barrel to plant at the greenhouse, or pick-up the materials & plant at home!

Houseplants serve us in so many ways – they clean our air, cozy up our spaces, and have even been shown to improve focus! Successfully caring for houseplants can be intimidating though, especially if you’ve killed a few in the past. This drop-in workshop is designed to change all of that!

Drop-in anytime during our social hours to browse our plant selection! You are welcome to bring your own container or purchase one from us. When you find the plant you can’t live without, Mill Creek staff will walk you through potting it up & caring for it. Each participant will also get our Beginner’s Guide to Houseplants. This is a fun opportunity to learn something new & play in the dirt!

Our plant selection includes succulents, cacti, snake plants, fiddle leaf figs, zz plants, alocasia, and many more!

The cost of this workshop includes 1 pumpkin (size of your choice), natural moss to plant your succulents in, & succulent cuttings (number of cuttings depends on size of pumpkin you choose). Additional cuttings will be available for purchase. Mill Creek Gardens’ staff will work with you every step of the way & discuss how to care for your succulent pumpkin.

The ADD ON BONUS to this workshop is that you will learn how to remove the succulents from your pumpkin, once fall has passed, and continue growing them as a succulent garden! WOOHOO, we love succulents!

Join us for a fun & interactive 2-hour workshop where you will learn to create a beautiful planter to accent your home! At this workshop, Mill Creek Gardens’ staff will offer great choices for sun & shade planters and share tips on how to keep your flowers blooming through fall. You will also learn about new flower varieties, the latest trends, & how to integrate them into your planter. You are welcome to bring your own pot and pots will also be available for purchase. The commercial grade slow-release fertilizer & pesticide (both included in cost of the workshop) will give your planter the jump-start & protection it needs to thrive through the season!

At this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to use your creativity to plant something unique with succulents! Mill Creek Gardens will offer many different choices of planters at all price points – ceramic & metal trays, barnboard boxes, antique containers, etc. Do you have something at home that might be more interesting with succulents planted in it?! Bring it in & make a masterpiece!
 
Mill Creek Gardens’ staff will offer care tips and tricks to grow healthy succulents. You will also leave with our succulent cheat sheet for reference later!
